OUR STORY
American Doors and Hardware has been providing exceptional service to Eastern NC and surrounding areas since 2012. As a full service automatic door, access control, aluminum storefront, and door hardware provider, ADH has the ability to assist you with a wide range of projects and needs. Led by Colin DeSpain with over 30 years of industry experience, ADH has quickly grown with exceptional technicians to provide all customers with a standard of service that is at the highest of levels. American Doors and Hardware is supported by Billy Tyson and his outstanding team at American Builders Inc.
Originally from Ohio, Colin found his way to North Carolina 20 years ago. After the Army, Colin found his way into the door industry and has been doing so for the last 30 years. When he isnt managing ADH, he is cheering on the buckeyes or hanging out with his family.

Keith became a transplant to Greenville in 1987 when he went to ECU to study Theatre/Dance. With over 20 years of management experience with a variety of businesses, Keith assumed the role of Office Manager with ADH in November 2020. He likes to find ways to make admin tasks easier and more efficient. In his spare time, he attempts to knock things off his ever growing honey-do list. He also likes to add new destinations to his passport. Keith is married to his ballet partner wife, Daune, for 30 years and has 3 grown children.

After separating from the Armed Forces in 2006, I entered the world of skilled trades where I was able to further my passion in the electronics and electro-mechanical world. I joined the American Doors Team in 2015 as a Service Tech where the learning curve was steep allowing me to gain more experience also, I have seen the company grow which has given me the privilege to help teach/instill in our newer technicians how, what, and why we do what we do here. When not at work I can be found spending time with friends/family and volunteering at my local church.

A local to Greenville, Grant started working with American Builders Inc. right out of high school. After a period of many swept floors, a transition to estimating and project management - his love of computers and technology brought him into the world of access controls and security with ADH. When he isn’t spending time with his wife and two dogs, you can likely find him on his boat somewhere fishing.

Security Manager / Lead Estimator
As ADH’s welder, fabricator, and technician, Trey has quickly proven to be a true asset to the team. Trey has also begun working in the security division of the company and has certainly picked up the trade quickly. When he isn’t replacing operators and modifying frames, you can likely find him in the woods, hunting or spending time with his wife and two dogs.

A local to Goldsboro, Kevin worked for the Department of Correction for 18 years where he learned the art of inventory. He became a Sergeant over the warehouse and oversaw anything ordered for the prison from canteen to clothing. In August of 2000, he decided to make a change and joined the American Doors and Hardware team and now takes care of the inventory they need and also does quotes for many jobs. Kevin has been married to his wife Stephanie for 24 years and has 3 beautiful daughters. If he’s not at work or home, you can find him at the softball field coaching for the AD&H softball team or hunting and fishing

Hi, I’m Lee Jones from Goldsboro. I have been working on entry doors for 15+ years and garage doors for 6 years. I’m married with 3 kids. I spend my spare time hanging with my family.

Lifelong resident of Tarboro, NC. Jordyn started working with American Doors in April of 2021, and has become one of the best decisions hehas made, it’s a great trade to learn. Outside of work, he enjoy’s traveling to different states to play slowpitch softball, attending sporting events (football, basketball and baseball) year round, and having any kinds of conversation involving sports.

I’m Joseph, I am a Greenville native and the newest technician at AD&H. I previously worked in a warehouse before starting work for American Builders, I then transitioned to being a tech for AD&H. It has been a large learning curve but I am enjoying learning everything there is to know about doors. I enjoy hunting, fishing and spending time with my friends and family outside of work.
